Why hub fatigue strength testing?
Rim hub fatigue Hub torque fatigue testing is used to simulate years of riding, with torque simulating a sprint from a complete stop or coasting. When the cassette is engaged from a stop or coasting, the hub and cassette are subject to additional stress, causing wear. The materials used, the design of the engagement and the cassette mechanism all play a role in their service life.
Test Purpose
The purpose of this test is to verify the life and durability of the hub under long-term extreme pressure.
Test Requirements
The entire wheel set after the test, including the joint between the hub and the carbon fiber body, and the joint between the spoke and the rim, must not have cracks or damage
Test standard
The hub is fixed on the test machine, and a force of 640N is applied with the hub as the center, and it is run 50,000 times
Test equipment
Wheel hub torque fatigue test bench
Test Method
1. Install the rear wheel on the wheel hub fatigue test bench
2. Secure the wheel with a proprietary strap
3. Select the total number of cycles and force
4. Start the test bench and perform the fatigue test
5. After completing 1,000/25,000/50,000 cycles respectively, remove the wheel from the test bench for inspection

Testing process and results
Time | Number of tests | Hub Condition |
5Min | 1000 | No cracks, no deformation |
2.4h | 25000 | No cracks, no deformation |
4.6h | 50000 | No cracks, no deformation |
Test Results | Ratchet test 50,000 times OK |
Conclusion
The hub ratchet was tested 50,000 times, and the deformation was not large, no abnormality, and it was judged OK.
